Location
This traditional Cypriot Village Stone House is conveniently situated on the upper edge in the rural mountain village of Pachna enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding picturesque vineyard terraced hillsides. 
Ideally suited for those who would like to experience real Cypriot village life yet have easy access in just 25 mins to Limassol's vibrant atmosphere . Nearby beaches include Curium and Avdimou. (20 mins), alternatively you can access various mountain villages with wide ranging enjoyable mountain trails, tavernas, wineries , monasteries and craft shops. Westwards to Paphos town and its delightful harbour only 30mins drive. 
More importantly the house is situated 59 paces from the Lenos Taverna where Yanoulla and Christaki will delight you with their traditional Cypriot hospitality and cuisine. Many a wonderful evening has been spent on their elevated balcony with wonderful views over the valley, beware of the zouvania ( local hootch ) which Christaki may offer you at the end of the meal !!!!

Accommodation.
This house has been totally renovated ensuring all original features are retained. All on one level, the lounge with traditional floor tiles is simply decorated retaining an old Cypriot house atmosphere, extra sleeping area is provided with 2 comfortable bed settees. Winter breaks ........For those who want to enjoy the winter sunshine by day and keep cosy in the evening by the wood burning stove. The shower room is situated between the lounge and bedroom, there is a split level up to exceptionally well equipped dinning kitchen.
Cottages are prepared with a breakfast welcome pack and lots of local information. Linen change weekly. Bring extra towels for the beach. Should you have any problems whilst in Cyprus we will do our utmost to provide assistance.
Main doors open out to large delightful alfresco living area where guests can relish the sunshine or the shade relaxing on sun lounger's or cottage suite. Barbecue here and watch the sun descend while enjoying your evening meal.

Gas/electric cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine, iron, ironing board microwave, hairdryer air conditioning and fans DVD player and selection of DVD's stereo TV reading library. Barbecue and equipment, picnic box.
Private parking for one car.

Local facilities:
Katerina's Cottage is one minute walk from local taverna and within easy walking distance to mini market, butchers, bank, coffee shops and wineries . 

We do advise bringing your mobile phone for emergency use or we can provide a local pay as you go mobile on request as Cyprus has a very cheap service. 

The main purpose of most peoples holiday is rest, peace and quiet and the location is ideal but for those who want to explore and find out more about the island and its people etc yet enjoy within 30 minutes vast beaches, wonderful seascapes, breathtaking sunsets. Limassol with all the water sports facilities, boat trips , fishing trips from Paphos harbour, an abundance of craft shops and castle in old Limassol, museums art galleries, theatre, including open air, cinema, up market restaurants should one want a change from the village taverna's…………………. we never tire of the welcome and the delights of village food. 
Cyprus has numerous ancient sites Curium, Kolossi Castle, Aphrodite's birthplace, historic churches, monasteries, golf courses, horse riding scuba diving , mountain trails, cliff top walks…………… with the inevitable watering hole and eatery at the end !!! 
Further a field you may want to visit Nicosia and explore this ancient walled city or you might like to include 3 day trip to Egypt with Louis lines. Cruise liners sail frequently from Limassol. The options are too numerous to mention.


Flights and Insurance.

Pachna is about 90mins drive from both the main airport of Larnaca and 40mins from Paphos. Look at www.skyscanner.net. or www.xl.com to source your flight options. We will send very accurate and detailed instructions to find the house. For your own interests and safety while holidaying abroad it is a condition of booking that you provide evidence of travel insurance for all those in your party. The headed page showing CERTIFICATE OR SCHEDULE should show the names of those covered , the dates of cover etc . This can be scanned or photocopy and sent to us via email. 

Car Hire and Driving 

Car hire is essential and we advise a small to medium car as it is easier for access the narrow lanes in the villages and for parking. There are many car hire companies to select from on the web. Holidays Auto's is one we often used when visiting Cyprus before we lived here.
Like the UK we drive very conveniently on the left side . The road system is excellent the main routes are all dual carriageway from East to West North and South even the country roads are mainly all double track and in very good condition. Fuel is a lot cheaper than the UK and there are ample petrol stations with fuel available 24hrs a day via an automated system after normal opening hours. The nearest to Pachna is Kivides approx 5 kms.


Currency

The local currency is the Euro.  There are numerous ATM's in Limassol and the banks generally open in the mornings from 8.30 to 1pm.  Some local tavernas will accept visa but cash would be preferable !
