| TO ALL DOG OWNERS IN CYPRUS LIESHMANIASIS ALERT I am trying to draw dog owners (particularly imported dogs) attention to the above extremely serious decease. It is caused by the bite of the Sand fly (so called for its colour, not location). The ONLY 90% protection against this flying insect is a collar or spray containing DELTAMETHARIN if bitten by this By your dog can be infected by Lieshmaniasis, this can be spread to other dogs by saliva and even to humans, the dog then becomes very slowly stressfully terribly ill as all the internal organ become infected and it is heartbreaking to see your beloved pet dying this way there is no cure. This is NOT hysteria I know of at least six dogs from one vet nary surgery that have been infected and died since July this year including our own beautiful Golden Retriever so I beg you please please take this seriously make sure your pet is protected or you may find yourself facing the heartache that due to ignorance we are going through.
